By-Elections: Buganda region, Coaches vote

 

Elections have been held for Buganda Region Football Association to replace Hajji Abdul Ssekabira after he became FUFA Executive Member during the Assembly in Masindi.

At Friday’s By-elections conducted by the FUFA Electoral Committee Vice Chairman and returning Officer Yusuf Awuye at FUFA House in Mengo, Ismail Kalanda of Kyankwanzi was voted unopposed after fullfilling all requirements to contest for the slot that fell vacant after Ssekabira was named on the FUFA Executive.

Coaches Association names Executive

The Uganda Football Coaches Association also named their entire Executive today under the supervision of returning officer Yusuf Awuuye at FUFA House.

The Executive has: Stone Kyambadde (Chairman), 1st Vice Chairman Kirumira Simon, 2nd Vice Chairman Magidah Nantanda, Members: Frank Anyau, Mutabaruka John, Matia Lule, Badru Kaddu and Oluka Cyrus

By-elections will continue on Saturday 21st October in Western Uganda, West Nile Region then on Sunday 22nd October in Kitara Region and on Tuesday 24th October for Eastern Region.

By-elections in Northern Uganda were put on hold.
