The Uganda Cranes have started the defense of the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup in Mumias (Kenya) by hitting Tanzania (Taifa Stars) 2-0
Wagaluka Dan was written all over the encounter as fouled by Juma Jabu in the 2nd Minute and a resultant free-kick by Walusimbi Godfrey was completed by Owen Kasule after a Steven Bengo brash. Wagaluka was once again at it when was brought down by Juma Jabu and the resultant 25-metre freekick was taken by Mike Serumaga in the 84th minute and the scorcher did not give the Tanzania Custodian any chance on the wet surface.
It was no easy going though as Hamzah Muwonge (Bunamwaya SC) recollected his experience as he pulled off heroic saves. Geoffrey Massa was cautioned for diving and Juma Jabu at the left full back of Tanzania was shown matching orders for the second bookable offense as he deliberately handled the ball that had been looped over him by Dan Wagaluka
Although not regarded as pushovers, Burundians who are Uganda Cranes next opponents on Wednesday 2nd- December 2009 were massacred by Zanzibar by 4 goals to nothing.
