UGANDA CUP: Police needed penalties to see off Sadolin

FUFA Big League side Sadolin Paints played gallantly to force a 1-1 draw with Police FC in normal time before bowing out of the Uganda cup round of 64 in the penalty shoot outs. Police emerged 5-4 winners in the spot kicks.

Basoma Andrew scored for the FUFA Super league side while Mutebi Julius was on target for Sadolin at Bugembe stadium in Jinja.

Police FC will now play the winner of the match between St Mary’s-Nabweru and Entebbe FC.

Meanwhile the Acting FUFA Competitions Director Decols Kiiza has confirmed that some fixtures of the Uganda Cup have been rescheduled due to congestion of the international calendar (CAF club competitions), non-availability of the playing fields and FSL and FBL fixture realignment.  Consequently, the following matches that were due this weekend are particularly affected

1.       Hope Soana v Busia United

2.       Kumi University v VCC

3.       Rwenshama v Vipers

4.       Kasese New Villa v Lweza

5.       Amuria Crane City v SCVU

New dates will be communicated to the concerned parties.
