20 FUFA Big league clubs acquire licenses

Twenty of the 26 FUFA Big league clubs have been confirmed to acquire 2015/16 club licences ahead of the start on 17th September 2015.

The confirmation was made by the Chairperson of the FUFA club licensing committee, Dr Benard Patrick Ogwel during the weekly press conference at Mengo, Kampala.

Out of 26 clubs, only 20 have met requirements the licensing committee set. Six clubs failed to meet the earlier deadline set but appealed except Rwenshama. CRO, Artland, Kira Young, Hope Doves, Rwenshama and Entebbe F.C await a decision by the FUFA Appeals Committee.  Rwenshama F.C failed to appeal and have thus been demoted to the third division league (Regional League)

Because Rwenshama F.C did not make any appeal, they were relegated to the lower league.

The Appeals committee will work on the issues of the five clubs that appealed against relegation.

Only Kirinya Jinja S.S and Ndejje University were granted full licences as the rest are issued with provisional licenses up to mid season.

Fully Licensed Clubs:

Kirinya Jinja S.S and Ndejje University.
