2nd FUFA Juniors League:
Kick-off – Mid September 2015
Ahead of the long anticipated kick off for the 2015/16 FUFA Juniors league, the Federation competitions department has held the team draws at the FUFA Headquarters in Mengo, Kampala on Wednesday.
The draws also coincided with the weekly press briefing organized by the FUFA media department.
They were keenly supervised by the FUFA Competitions Director, Ali Mwebe flanked by the Federation spokesman, Ahmed Hussein and FUFA protocol committee member, Boniface Oryema.
Addressing the team representatives and the media during the well attended draws, Mwebe clearly outlined the guidelines and the mode how this Juniors’ league will be played.
Each of the 16 Uganda Premier league clubs has registered a team for the Juniors league as mandated by the club licensing regulations. They are divided into two groups (One and two) with 8 teams per group.
The clubs that started the Juniors’ league have been also maintained with their two groups (Nile and Murchsion) – each having four teams each.
Pertinent to note is the fact that a relegated team from the Azam Uganda Premier league goes down with their Junior team.
The Juniors league will kick in Mid-September after the fixtures have been well drawn and forwarded to the teams and media.
Kampala Juniors Team (KJT) won the inaugural edition of the FUFA juniors’ league.
