2016 CHAN Finals: Uganda Cranes Contingent for CAF Meeting

The Uganda Cranes contingent will be briefed on the guidelines of the tournament by a CAF official in a meeting slated for midday today at Belvedere Hotel.

Having arrived safely in Kigali on Saturday evening aboard RwandAir, the Uganda Cranes team later embarked on a three hour journey by road to Rubavu in Gisenyi where all four teams in Group D are camped.

The leader of Delegation for Uganda Cranes Hamid Juma is happy with the location of the place.

‘The meeting with CAF officials will help us know our official training programme as per the rules and regulations of the tournament’ said Juma.

Meanwhile Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic says that the team has had a good rest and will be looking forward to the first training session today.

‘We are here to fight for the lives and souls of the 37 million people we left behind in Uganda. I believe in my boys. We shall not rest until the last drop of our blood is thrown on the field of play’ said Micho.

Uganda opens its campaign against Mali on Tuesday 19th January before taking on Zambia and Zimbabwe.
