Orange CHAN 2016 finals: Uganda Cranes ready for Zimbabwe clash

Zambia Vs Mali – Kigali Recreational Stadium, Nyamirambo (4pm Local time, 5 p.m in Uganda)

The Uganda Cranes team successfully conducted their Tuesday training session at the Umuganda stadium training facility in the morning.

The players went through the paces under the watchful eyes of coaches, Milutin Sredojevic, Fred Kajoba (goal keeping trainer), the assistant coach, Moses Basena as the medical team together with the rest of the team members kept a keen eye on the training procedure.

Twenty two players (with goal keeper, Isma Watenga still injured) looked lively and ready for the action against Zimbabwe on Wednesday evening.

Watenga watched the training from the sidelines with the team’s head of delegation at the tournament, Hamid Juma.

The players under-took a one and half hour’s session that included ball work, attack and defence.

Uganda plays Zimbabwe at the same time Mali will be taking on Zambia in the last group games at the CHAN 2016 finals.

A victory for Uganda with a two goal margin and a loss for Mali will see the Cranes book a berth to the last 8 stage.
