Sand Cranes arrived safely in Tanzania for the Copa Dar es Salaam 2018.
The team left Kampala for Dar es Salaam on Monday 19th Novemeber 2018 and was flagged off by the FUFA Finance Director Decolas Kiiza at FUFA House.
Uganda’s matches at the Tournament
Uganda was set to play their opening fixture on Thursday 22nd November 2018 against Malawi but the match will now be honored on Saturday. Malawi were yet to arrive for the tournament as they missed a flight connection. Uganda will play two matches on Saturday against Malawi and Seychelles.
Uganda will therefore play its first match on Friday against the hosts Tanzania at 5pm.
Tanzania on fire
On Thursday afternoon, Tanzania beat Seychelles 7-4 in the first game of the tournament.
The top two teams after the single round action will play the final on Sunday.
