Bombo UMEA and Habanon Primary School stormed the final of the inaugural Odilo Girls Championship after winning their respective semifinal games on Wednesday.
Habanon Primary School from Kampala defeated Oasis Primary School while Bombo UMEA on the other hand overcame Nyakatooma III Primary in the games played at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

Meble Adong and Patricia Nakanjako scores a goal apiece to help Bombo UMEA register a 2-0 win thus putting an end to the fairytale run of Nyakatooma who have been the surprise package of the tournament.

In the second semifinal, Habanon cruised past West Nile representatives Oasis Primary School, winning 2-0 in a closely contested game.
Halima Mupyanga was the heroine for Habobon, bagging a brace to send her school to the final.

The final between Bombo UMEA and Habanon will be a repeat of the group A fixture where the former won 1-0.
Bombo UMEA Coach Edward Lugolobi was full of praise for his charges and believes they have what it takes to emerge winners.
“We prepared for this tournament thus reaching the final is not a surprise. I have prepared my girls in all game aspects and they were putting into practice what they learnt and the target now is to go on and win the trophy.” He said.
On the other hand, Habanom’s Amina Kobusigye attributes her team’s performance to teamwork and discipline.

“My girls work together and always listen to instructions. We emphasize discipline and hard work therefore, we are glad it has been applied in the games. We won’t give up on our norm and I am sure we shall win the final. We lost against Bombo UMEA in the group stages but we are in better shape now.”
