Both sides pushed for a winner late on but the ninety minutes closed with the points shared.

Under the floodlights in the second fixture Mbogo FC collected all three points with a 2–0 victory over Kisugu United. Hamuza Kasumba was the difference on the night as he struck twice in the thirty-fifth and seventy-eighth minute to secure a winning start for Mbogo.
