Coach Sheryl Botes Completes Teen Cranes Assessment Camp at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru

The U-17 Uganda Women’s National Football Team has officially concluded a five-day training camp on Wednesday November 26, 2025 at FUFA TC, Njeru.

The players underwent technical assessments led by Head Coach Sheryl Ulanda Botes, in preparation for the January 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.

The head coach expressed delight about the camp, as a great opportunity to learn new ideas together as well as team bonding.

‘I am pleased with the progress we have made with the girls over these few days. Although the first two days necessitated some adjustment, I have observed gradual improvements in their overall ability, technical skills, tactical comprehension and intensity.’

She further said, ‘The girls demonstrated eagerness and willingness to learn. We focused on aspects of collision management both on and off the pitch. I am satisfied with their performance and I believe these players exhibit considerable potential.’

The camp featured 33 players, predominantly from the FUFA Women Super League with a mix from the FUFA Women Elite League and schools.
