Uganda Cranes kicked off preparations on Friday morning at Lugogo for the double AFCON 2019 Qualifiers against Lesotho to be played on 13th October 2018. Sixteen local based players took part in the lively session at the StarTimes Stadium.
The session started with warm up drills and later climaxed with shooting practices.
The Uganda Cranes Head coach Sebastien Desabre highlighted the importance of the sessions conducted with the local based players who trained in the morning and a select Squad of U17, U20 & U23 players who will have their sessions at 3pm today on the same pitch. The same programme will continue tomorrow at Lugogo.
‘We shall conduct several sessions with the senior local based and the selected junior players to asses their levels of fitness and attitude The sessions will climax with trial match between the senior team and the selected team on Sunday morning at Lugogo’ said Desabre.
Sebastien also revealed that Julius Poloto is injured and won’t be able to train with the team.
The team continues with the preparations on Saturday morning (8am) and the select Squad (U17, U20 and U23) at 3pm on the StarTimes Stadium turf.
