Uganda U20 Men’s Football National Team, The Hippos have learnt their group and opponents ahead of the 2022 CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers in Sudan.
The Hippos have been pitted in group B along Tanzania and Ethiopia.
Uganda will kick start their journey to defend their title on Saturday 29th October against Tanzania at Al Hilal Stadium.
They will then rest for six days before playing their second tie against Ethiopia on 5th November at Al Hilal Stadium.
The leader from group A will face the runners up from group B and vice versa.
The Hippos who have now spent 12 days in residential camp at the Cranes Paradise hotel, Kisaasi are expected to fly out on Wednesday morning for Sudan.
Under the stewardship of new coach Jackson Mayanja, they will be hoping to defend their title inorder to return to the U20 AFCON tournament that will take place in Egypt in 2023.
The Hippos reached the AFCON U20 finals in the last edition in 2021 in Mauritania, losing to Ghana 2-0.
