On the opening day of the CECAFA Qualifiers of the CAF African School Football Championship, 10 goals were scored—nine were from the girls’ category and one from the boys’ category.
Ugandan sides St. Mary’s Kitende and St. Noa Girls Secondary School registered wins in their opening fixtures against Somalia and Burundi respectively.
Annastanzia Mbeiza scored a brace for St. Noa Girls Secondary School, while Kajumba Nabiru netted the lone goal that secured victory for St. Mary’s Kitende.
