2019 Airtel FUFA Awards:

The list of nominees in three out of 14 categories for the 2019 Airtel – FUFA Awards was released on Wednesday, 16th October 2019 during the official launch held at Serena Hotel in Kampala.
There are 16 candidates for vying for the Male best footballer of the year accolade and 12 female footballers that was generated by the head coaches as well as captains of the Star Times Uganda Premier League and the FUFA Women Elite League and FUFA Women Super League teams respectively.
The period considered started on 7th December 2018 and the closing date will be 14th December 2019.
Coaches of the FUFA Women Elite League and FUFA Women Super League nominated their top 5 candidates for the FUFA Female player of the year 2019.
There will be a second round of voting by the coaches and captains for the Male player of the year and Female player of the Year to get the top 5.
Public Voting to contribute 25%
Public voting will get underway after release of top 5 for Male and Female Player of the Year on 14th November until 14th December 2019. The Coaches will contribute 50%, Captains 25% and Fans 25% during the voting.
The awards will be held on 14th December 2019 at Speke Resort Munyoyo.
For the fifth year in a row, Airtel Uganda has remained the main sponsors of the awards.
Other partners include; Eco Bank, NIC Holdings Limited, Nile Breweries Limited, Pepsi and BIDCO Uganda Limited.
