The National team main sponsors, Airtel Uganda treated the Uganda Cranes players, officials to a welcome dinner, just hours after their arrival from Morocco.
The dinner took place at Kampala Serena Hotel on Friday night.
Speaker after speaker that included renown motivational speaker, Peter Kimbowa stressed the means and urgency on how to overcome the failed campaign slip in a record time.
Airtel Uganda Managing Director (M.D), Tom Gutjahr approached the Uganda Cranes’ failed campaign from a business perspective.

“In business you never give up. And because the Uganda Cranes have never given up, there is beam ray of hope for progress” -Tom Gutjahr.
FUFA Vice President, Justus Mugisha (represented the FUFA President) conveyed the FUFA President Eng Moses Magogo’s message at the function.

“We appreciate the players, the Government of Uganda, Airtel Uganda and all our sponsors and other partners, My entire FUFA Executive, the fans , the 4th estate (media) and everybody for making this campaign happen. We shall never give up till we reach our destiny”, The FUFA President said in a message delivered by Mr. Mugisha.
Team skipper Andrew Mwesigwa and head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sedrojevic too had a chance to talk about the campaign.

Common in their speech was appreciation to the football governing body, sponsor and fans.
Mwesigwa stressed pointed out the positives from the campaign with the youth players as Farouk Miya and Yunus Sentamu the revelation of the tournament.
