ALL AFRICA GAMES QUALIFIER – First Leg

Result: Mozambique 0-0 Uganda – Maxaquene Stadium, Maputo

Return Leg: 6th – 8th March 2015 – Kampala

The Uganda National Under 23 team has played to a goal-less draw with Mozambique U-23 in the qualifier of the All African Games held on Saturday in Maputo, Mozambique.

This has been the first leg of the first round with the return leg slated for a fortnight in Kampala.

The match was open to either sides with both teams creating scoring opportunities.

102.1 FUFA F.M Radio Presenter, Yusuf ‘Of Uganda’ Baliruno, who traveled to Mozambique to relay live the match told www.fufa.co.ug.

Kobs defender, Shafiki Bakaki got injured 15 minutes to the end of the game and was rushed to hospital.

Reports from Maputo indicate that the youthful defender is quickly recovering.

The team returns on Monday morning.

Substitutions Made:  Martin Kizza for Gadafi Kiwanuka, Umar Kasumba for Villa Oromchan and Robert Achema for Brian Nkuubi.

Subs Not Used: Mathias Kigonya (G.K), Hashim Sempala, Abdul Karim Kasule and Sadat Kyambadde
