All set for 2022/23 FUFA Juniors League National finals

The stage is set and everything is in place for the start of the national finals for the 2022/23 FUFA Juniors League season.

The pulsating campaign that started with regional leagues will climax at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru having regional Champions contend for the national title.

It should be noted that this is the first time when the new format of playing the FUFA Juniors League at the regional level was introduced.

Since its inception in 2015, the league only catered for teams in the top division and it was mandatory for a club playing in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League to have a team in the FUFA Juniors League.

However, a decision was taken by the FUFA Executive Committee to spread the League across the country thus having more teams and more players accommodated.

With five of the eight FUFA regions successfully playing the maiden edition and the regional Champions identified, it is time to determine the national Champion.

The five regions that had FUFA Junior Leagues include Buganda (Vipers Junior Team), Kampala (Prosper Soccer Academy), Kitara (Friend of Soccer FC), Western (Mbarara Sports Academy) and Eastern (BUL Junior Team).

The aforementioned teams will play in a round robbin format between 31st July – 4th August 2023 at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

The team with the most number of points will emerge Champions.
