The Uganda Cranes will play Ivory Coast on Saturday afternoon in Abu Dhabi at Sheikh Zayed Stadium as they finlsie their preparations for the 2019 AFCON Finals in Egypt. Almost three weeks already in Abu Dhabi, the Cranes have had rigorous training sessions. One of the players in camp Allan Kateregga believes that they are ready but needs the boys to test themselves against one of the African soccer giants Ivory Coast.

‘It is a high ranking game. We are looking forward to the friendly match on Saturday. We want to challenge ourselves with the best. I feel happy and fine in camp with the entire team. We should be ready to hit the ground’ noted Kateregga who plays his club football with Maritzburg United in South Africa.

The left footed player is one of the 23 players in the final squad submitted to CAF but he still says that all is not done yet.

‘We must keep competing for places because every player needs to fight for action. The spirit in camp is very good. Our AFCON starts with this game against Ivory Coast and it will be a good challenge to us. The coach keeps pushing us to our best levels and we shall deliver to his expectations’ added Kateregga.

Head coach Sebastien Desabre will call on his troops again against Ivory Coast today in an international friendly
