The Azam Uganda Premier League continued with seven matches played on Saturday at various venues.

A total of ten (10) goals were scored with The Saints F.C having the lion’s share of the goals galore in the 4 -0 home win over Soana at the Nelson Mandela National stadium.

Patrick Senfuka, Isaac Kirabira, Yasin Mugume and left full back Hassan Musana were all on target for the Moses Basena coached side.

Defending champions, Vipers S.C played their first game of the second round posting a 2-0 home victory at the hands of Sadolin Paints at Buikwe stadium.

Ibrahim Saddam Juma and Mike Mutyaba scored for Vipers who returned to domestic league action since the CAF Champions league preliminary round home and away matches to Nigeria’s Enyimba F.C.

The victory takes Vipers to 31 points with just four points behind Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) football club.

Current league leaders, KCCA F.C suffered a set back when they fell 1-0 to BUL F.C at the Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

David Kizza was the hero of the day with a well taken 34th minute goal.

There were two goal-less stalemates played in the seven matches on card.

Lweza F.C returned to winning ways, triumphing 2-0 at the hands of Maroons F.C in Luzira.

A goal in each half from Michael Kabanda and Fred Kalanzi inspired Lweza to the much needed three points in the pouch.

Lweza is now 11th with 22 points earned.

Bright Stars and URA at Mwererwe failed to produce any goal and so was the Jinja Municipal Council Hippos and Sports Club Villa Jogoo tie at Kakindu stadium in Jinja.
