Kayiwa Ibrahim and Tony Odour condemned champions Vipers to a 2-0defeat in the Azam Uganda Premier League match at Mutessa II stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Red eagles went into the match on the back of a poor run-four successive losses in the league. However, playing at home and in-front of their fans, Express were fired up for three points and indeed got them.
In Lugazi, URA were 3-2 winners over table leaders KCCA FC. Robert Sentongo netted a brace while Frank Kalanda got the other for the victors. KCCA’s goals were scored by Paul Mucureezi and Nelson Senkatuuka.
The game between Maroons and Bright Stars in Luzira ended 0-0 while SCVU and JMC Hippos completed their game as they played 45 minutes only. It ended 0-0. The first half was played a few back but second half couldn’t be started because of heavy rains at Namboole that made the pitch unplayable.
