The Azam Uganda Premier league match day 17 had 7 games played on Tuesday across the different venues in the country.

There were 8 goals scored, with 5 clubs registering victories and two barren draws.

Vipers Sports Club defeated Onduparaka F.C 2-0 at the St Mary’s Stadium Kitende in a match also watched by Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre.

Fresh from the 2018 CHAN tournament, forward-cum-winger Milton Karisa opened the scoring in the 7th minute before two time Stanbic Uganda Cup top scorer Erisa Ssekisambu got the other goal in a space of less than 5 minutes.

Express scored through Isaac Kisujju and Michael Birungi in their 2-0 home win against visiting BUL at the Muteesa II Wankulukuku stadium.

BUL’s holding midfielder Yunus Sibira (left) tracks Express and Uganda U-20 midfielder Sharif Ochaya at Wankulukuku. Sibira was unfortunate to limp out before his place was taken by Johnson Wakalaita on 30 minutes.

Kirinya-Jinja S.S smiled to a 2-0 win against Police at the Kyabazinga stadium in Bugembe. Anthony Mayanja and Musa Esenu were on target for Kirinya -Jinja S.S.

At the Bombo Barracks stadium, Simba edged Proline 1-0 courtesy of Fahad Badiro’s lone strike.

URA overcame Bright Stars 1-0 at the Mandela National Stadium. Substitute Shafik Kagimu scored for the tax collectors’ club.

Only two matches failed to produce any goal as they both ended goal-less.

Masavu held Maroons at the Luzira Prisons Stadium and so was the tale as Soana visited Mbarara City at the Kakyeeka Stadium in Mbarara, Western Uganda.

Meanwhile, the top flight league returns on Thursday with a mouth watering clash between holders Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) F.C and Sports Club Villa at the Star Times Stadium in Lugogo.
