Nine goals were recorded from the five match day two fixtures of the Azam Uganda Premier league played on Tuesday.

League new comers, Jinja Municipal Council Hippos football club grabbed the headlines for the right reasons following their convincing 3-0 victory at the hands of fellow Jinja side, Sadolin Paints at the Kakindu Stadium.

Midfielder Herbert Kakande opened the scoring with a well taken goal in the 21st minute before Mustapha Mugoya added two second half strikes to hand Sadolin Paints their second defeat in two games after the 3-0 day one loss to KCCA F.C at Bugembe.

In the heart of Kampala City, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) F.C recovered late to grab an 87th minute equalizer after falling behind to Ayub Kizza’s perfectly headed effort off Sulaiman Mutyaba’s curling free kick in the 9th minute of the game played at Nakivubo stadium.

KCCA F.C scored through Muzamiru Mutyaba’s cool finish past goal keeper Ali Kiggundu in a well orchestrated move that involved atleast13 un-intercepted passes.

The biggest shock on the day happened at the Mwerere stadium, home to Bright Stars F.C.

Anthony Bongole’s priceless solitary strike in the opening 45 minutes proved to the match winner when the home side defended gallantly to overcome a resilient SC Villa.

In the Kavumba derby, Soana and Police football clubs played to their second draw results in two games.

The game ended one goal apiece.

The two clubs had each played to a goal-less draw in their opening fixtures.

Soana held Bright Stars at Kavumba before Angelo Loneysi’s Police F.C picked a crucial point away to Express at the intimidating Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

At the Mehta stadium in Lugazi, Uganda Revenue Authority football club kicked the season in style winning 1-0 over BUL F.C from Jinja.

New striker, Godfrey Villa Oromochan scored for the tax collectors’ team.

The league returns with match day three fixtures starting on Friday, 28th August 2015 when SC Villa shall be hosting URA at Nakivubo stadium.

The match will be televised live on Azam T.V. The rest of the matches will come on Saturday.
