The Saints F.C started the second round of the league on a rather promising tone, winning at their Nelson Mandela National stadium fortress 3-1 over visiting BUL F.C.

Owen Kasule, on loan from KCCA F.C was the day’s hero with two goals to his account.

Fred Agandu, recruited from BUL F.C in the mid-season gave the home side the lead before Yunus Sibira got the equalizer.

Kasule then converted a penalty for his first on the day in the 86th minute and shortly wrapped up the game with a late stoppage time winner to give head coach Moses Basena a perfect start to his job in the league.

At the Champions stadium in Mwererewe, home club Bright Stars F.C welcomed back prodigal son, Lawrence Ndugga in style when he scored the day’s only goal in the 24th minute against Maroons F.C, off Baker Lukooya’s cross from the right.

Soana needed two quick first half goals inside the opening five minutes of the game to get the better of Sadolin Paints at Bugembe stadium in Jinja.

Soana’s mid-season recruits, Simon Okwi and Musa Esenu netted the goals for a bright start.

Sadolin Paints who lost goalkeeper Umar Mayanja to injury at the apex of the first half pulled one goal back through an own goal from Nana Kakeeto.

At the Kavumba Recreational stadium in Wakiso, Lweza FC fought gallantly to register a 2-1 away victory at the hands of Police F.C.

After falling to Osman Mutumba’s goal in the 37th minute, Lweza’s new mid season signings, Sula Bagala and Juma Balinya replied in familiar fashion with beautifully executed goals in the 48th and 56th minutes respectively.

The Jinja Municipal Council Hippos and Sports Club Victoria University game at Kakindu stadium ended goalless.
