The Azam Uganda Premier league resumed with four games on card on Tuesday.

At Nelson Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, army side Simba Sports club earned their first victory of the season, winning 1-0 over debutants, The Saints F.C. Prior to today’s match, Simba had played 8, lost 5 and drawn 3.

Defender Musa Doca scored the lone goal of the day via a penalty after defender Azizi Mubiru committed a foul in penalty area on Ivan Wava.

URA F.C continued with the recovery under coach Kefa Kisala after a dismal start to the campaign winning 3-2 at their Mehta stadium home ground in Lugazi over defending champions Vipers.

Robert Sentongo and Erisa Ssekisambu each scored a brace for URA and Vipers respectively before left footed and fast paced dribbling winger Elukanah Nkugwa notched the winner.

At Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, Police F.C won away 1-0 over home side Lweza football club.

Hood Kaweesa maintained his rich goal scoring form with the only goal of the day in the 19th minute.

At the Maroons stadium in Luzira, KCCA F.C picked yet another precious victory over debutants, Jinja Municipal Council Hippos.

Owen Kasule scored a second half penalty to give Mike Mutebi’s side the three points in the bag with KCCA FC winning 1-0.

KCCA F.C thus stretches their leadership at the table and now have 24 points to open up a 4 point lead over the joint second placed clubs, Vipers and Police (both on 20 points).

The SC Villa versus Maroons game was not played due to the unavailability of the Nakivubo stadium.

The league resumes this Friday, 20th November 2015.
