Azam Uganda Premier League 2015/16:
- Vipers Vs SC Villa – Friday, 1st April 2016
- At Buikwe Stadium, Mukono (4:00 P.M)
- Live on 102.1 FUFA f.m & Azam T.V
In the only Azam Uganda premier league match to be played on the opening day of April 2016, Sports Club Villa travels to Buikwe to play the reigning champions, Vipers S.C.
The Jogoos have not played so many fixtures of the league in the second round because of their active engagement in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Against Vipers, the match looks as epic on paper as the reality as the two clubs have a rich background and healthy rivalry.
Key actors:
Vipers will look to the solid performances of either James Alitho or Ismail Watenge in goal, Deus Bukenya, Nicholas Wadada, the returning Dan Bilikwarila, Pius Wanji, Mike Mutyaba and Uganda Cranes’ striker, Erisa Ssekisambu for inspiration.
Coach George Nsiimbe will miss two players, defender Halid Lwaliirwa and striker Alfred Leku who left with the Uganda U-17 team on Thursday night.
SC Villa on the other hand will miss only Martin Kizza but they have a wide range of selection from a pool of players available.
Goalkeeper Nicholas Sebwato has been on form since returning from a brief stint with Tanzanian club, Coastal Union.
In Isaac Muleme, Misi Katende and skipper Jonathan Mugabi, the Jogoos are assured of an experienced backline ready to thwart Vipers’ usually deadly attacking strategy.
Tadeo Lwanga, Ambrose Kirya and Able Eturide are crucial players in the middle of the pack for SC Villa while goal scoring responsibilities are embedded on the shoulders of Umar Kasumba, Mike Sserumaga (if available) and Karim Ndugwa.
The match will be handled by FIFA referees with Mashood Ssali in the center.
