The Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) has released a list of 18 referees who will travel to Nairobi to handle this year’s Challenge Cup matches.
Two Ugandan referees, Denis Batte and assistant referee Mark Sonko are among the delegation.The duo has just returned from Cairo where they were attending a one week ‘Elite B’ course organised by CAF.
The list released by the CECAFA Secretary General Nicholas Musonye has nine (9) referees and nine (9) assistants. All these referees will however be subjected to fitness and medical tests on arrival in Nairobi before the tournament officially kicks off, November 27.
