Uganda earned big advantage in their pursuit to return to the prestigious Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations after defeating Comoros in the first leg of the Qualifiers.

The Sand Cranes had to come from two goals down to secure a 5-2 win in the game played at Stade de Planete Plage in Moroni on Sunday.

The home side took an early lead through Ali Moussa and Djafer Soilni but Brian Nkuubi pulled one back before the end of the first period.

Nicholas Mwere found the equalizer in the second period as Uganda continued to grow in confidence.

The Sand Cranes were unstoppable in the third and final with Godfrey Lwesibawa, Mwere and goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige scoring.

The win gives Uganda big advantage ahead of the return leg slated for 6th August 2022 at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
