Zanzibar 4-5 Uganda
The Uganda Sand Cranes won their build up game against Zanzibar Sand Heroes, 4 – 5 at the Bamboo sand stadium in Bububu town in Zanzibar.
The match was the first ever international match for Uganda in beach football.
Uganda scored through Tekwo Derrick, Somoka Roch, Lukooya Baker and Brian Nkuubi (2).

Zanzibar, on the other side, got their goals through Saleh Yusuf, Saleh Mansab Dawood, Faisal Mohd Ussi and Yakoub Mohd Nasser.

It was an Historic Match and it will help us a long way in the preparations for the upcoming AFCON Finals. I thank FUFA, Government, Pepsi and the Zanzibar Football Association for making this match successful.
Deo Mutabaazi, President, Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) remarked.
The match was well handled by Uganda’s Ali Mwebe as no player from either side complained of any biased refereeing.

The team returns to Kampala on Tuesday by road.
Uganda is preparing for the upcoming African Nations Cup in April 2015 that will be hosted by Seychelles.
