Uganda’s national beach soccer team, the Sand Cranes, have discovered their group stage opponents for the inaugural CECAFA Beach Soccer Championship.
The tournament will be held from 16th to 20th July 2025 at Pirates Beach in Mombasa, Kenya. The official draws and match fixtures were released by CECAFA Executive Director, Auka Gecheo.
Uganda has been drawn in Group A alongside Tanzania and Seychelles. Group B consists of hosts Kenya, Malawi, Burundi, and Zanzibar.
The Sand Cranes will begin their campaign on match day two—17th July 2025—against Tanzania, who will have opened the championship the previous day with a fixture against Seychelles. Uganda will then wrap up their group stage with a match against Seychelles on 18th July 2025.
