Uganda Sand Cranes earned their first victory at the maiden Malindi International beach soccer tournament over the Zanzibar Sand Heroes at the Buntwani Beach -Indian Ocean in Kenya.
Uganda won 10-7 to flash smiles across the face of all the players and the technical bench.
Strikers Roch Somoka and Abdul Karim Kibalama led the way with beautiful hat-tricks.
Meanwhile, the other goals were scored by the team captain, John Revita (brace), Matia Olum and hard working Hamis Kafeero.
Defender, Denis Sserukwaya was red carded by FIFA referee, Ivan Bayige, one of the three Ugandans officiating at the CAF sanctioned tournament.
Cranes goal keeper, Muzafaru Tamale was yellow carded for time wasting.

Mohd Makame Silima and second half substitute, Feisal Mohd Ussi each scored a brace before Ahmada Abdi Ahmada, Rajab Rashid Omar and Talib Ame Soud had the rest of the goals.
Talib was also yellow carded for unsporting conduct during the course of the game.
The other result:
In the other game played, Kenya humiliated Kilifi Select 14-2.
Mohammed Said scored six goals. The other goals for Kenya in the one sided encounter were by Fahad Nasir (4), Farid Mbwawa, Abdillahi Muhamed, Mudhafar Swaleh and goal keeper Daido Manase.
Farid Mbwawa was yellow carded for Kenya.
Match Officials
FIFA approved referees from Uganda Ivan Bayige, Muhammed Senteza and Shafiq Mugerwa are officiating at the games.
They are assisted by Zeinab Khamis, Uganda Beach Soccer president, Deo Mutabazi was the match commissioner and Ali Mwebe, also the FUFA competitions director as the match assessor.
Tournament Final Bend:
In the finals, Kenya takes on Zanzibar.
Uganda on the other hand will take on Kilifi Select in the match to determine the third placed team.
This is the first time that the tournament is being held on the East African land.
This edition was organized in Malindi and sponsored by Kilifi County Government-Kenya.
Confederation of African Football (CAF) sanctioned the event.
