Bulemeezi team captain receives a trophy from His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II after edging Buwekula 1-0 in the finals at Nakivubo last year.

Masaza Cup defending champions Bulemeezi FC will host Mawokota on Sunday at Bukalasa Agricultural College ground in the first leg of the quarter finals of this year’s edition.

Group ‘D’ table leaders and 2011 champions Buluuli travel to Entebbe to play Busiro in the second quarter finals.

Gomba that finished second in Group ‘B’ takes on Kkooki at kabulasoke while Kabula host Ssingo. Kabula are playing in the quarter finals for the first time.

The finals are scheduled for either September 21 or 28^th this year. Masaza Cup is an annual tournament organized by Buganda Kingdom through its ministry of education and sports.

The tournament has produced key Uganda Cranes players like Emmamuel Okwi (Kyadondo), Hamis Kiiza (Bugerere), Robert Odongokara, Mike Mutyaba (Mawokota) and Godfrey walusimbi (Busiro) among many others.

His Majesty the King of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi IIpresides over both the opening and the closing ceremony of this annual tournament.
