Amus College defied odds to clinch the inaugural edition of CAF African Schools Championship (National Qualifiers).

In the final played on Sunday at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, Amus College defeated favorites Rines SS to be crowned Winners.

Normal time ended goalless but the School from Bukedea district won the tense penalty shootout 4-3.

They had also won the semifinal contest against Kawempe Muslim SS earlier in the day in similar fashion.

Rines SS on the other hand won all their group games before eliminating Royal College with a 2-0 score.

Shafiga Mpamisi of Amus College was named the tournament MVP.
