The Ugandan Champions who beat two time African champions Enyimba 1-0at Nakivubo stadium on Friday.

Uganda Cranes player Erisa Sekisambu scored a historical goal for Vipers SC s the domestic champions made bright start on their maiden show on the continent. Vipers beat Enyimba of Nigeria 1-0 at Nakivubo stadium on Friday evening.

Vipers who have won the Uganda League title on two occasions,were making their maiden bow on the continent having missed out in 2011 a few months after winning the League in 2010.

Sekisambu who scored Uganda’s first goal at the 2016 CHAN Finals in Rwanda was in the history books again as he hit the back of the net on 72 minutes for Vipers to record their first ever goal on the continent.

Enyimba will host the Ugandan Champions in a fortnight’s time in Aba.

Uganda’s other representatives on the continent are Sc Villa Jogoo who won the Uganda Cup last season. They will play Sudan’s Khartoum Watan on Saturday
