CAF Champions League: Odur, Majwega get vital goals for KCC FC

First Leg, First round CAF Champions League in Kitwe

A penalty for Nkana saved by salim Jamal, red card to Tom Masiko, ten man team for George Nsimbe’s boys and two goals for the visitors described life for KCC FC in the entire 90 minutes of the first leg, first round fixture of the CAF Champions League.

KCC managed to grab a vital 2-2 draw with the away goals rule likely to come into play especially of the Ugandan reigning League champions play to a 0-0 or 2-2 draw in the return leg at Mandela National stadium, Nambole on Saturday.

Tony Odur netted for the third successive time in three outing for KCC FC in the competition this year. He was on target against Sudanese side El Merreikh in Khartoum and Namboole in the Preliminary stage then Nkana Red Devils today. Salim Jamal-KCC’s keeper also saved another penalty today against Ronald Kampamba just like he did against El Merriek over two legs. However in the fixture at Namboole, he was let down by his defenders as they failed to clear the ball after he had made the initial save.

Brian Majwega scored KCC’s other goal from the spot kick. Kampamba and shadrack Musonda netted for Nkana red devils.
