- SC Villa progresses 2-0 on aggregate
Uganda’s CAF Confederation Cup representatives, Sports Club Villa have successfully gone past the first hurdle of the preliminary stage with an emphatic 2-0 aggregate result over Sudanese club, Al Khartoum Al Watani F.C.
After the first round ended 1-0 in Sudan two weeks ago, the return leg at Nakivubo stadium had a similar score-line with Godfrey Lwesibwa scoring the only goal of the day.

Uganda Cranes CHAN player, Isaac Muleme crossed the ball that led to Lwesibawa’s header shortly after the game re-start following a 15 minute halt due to heavy rains.
Sports Club Villa goalkeeper, Nicholas Sebwato saved a 10th minute Abdalgabar Nagim penalty awarded when the shot stopper tripped down Abubakri Razak.
Goal scorer, Lwesibawa suffered a strained leg and did not return as the second half started.
His slot was taken up by Mike Ndera who had an average second half.

SC Villa will now face JKU from Zanzibar in round one.
