CAF President Issa Hayatou in Kampala

CAF boss Issa Hayatou arrived in Kampala Thursday evening

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Mr. Issa Hayatou arrived in Kampala Thursday night.

Hayatou was received at Entebbe International Airport by the FUFA President Lawrence Mulindwa and the Cecafa leader Eng. Leodgar Tenga among other dignitaries.

The continental football leader will this Friday morning attend the Cecafa congress at Imperial Royale Hotel starting 10am. Together with Mulindwa and Tenga the trio will address the press conference at the same venue at 2pm.

A special dinner organized in recognition of his visit to Uganda has also been organized at Serena Hotel today evening.

Hayatou is in Uganda on a special joint invitation by the FUFA president Lawrence Mulindwa and Cecafa leader, Engg. TengaHe will meet the FUFA executive on Saturday morning before he proceeds to Mandela National stadium to preside over the official opening ceremony of this year’s Cecafa-Tusker Cup later in the evening.

Uganda hosts Kenya in the opening match at 6pm.
