CAF COMMITTEES: Uganda gets 5 members, FUFA President and CEO named

The FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo and Chief Executive Officer Edgar Watson are the new faces named on the various standing Committees of the Confederation of African Football (CAF). This is the highest number ever (five) for Uganda for the CAF Standing Committees.

The FUFA President has been named on the Organising Committee of the Inter Club championship while Edgar Watson is a member on the Technical and Development Committee.

The Head of FUFA Legal Committee Alex Luganda retained his place is on the CAF Appeals Board while Dr. James Sekajugo also kept his position as a member on the CAF Medical Committee.

The FUFA Honorary President Lawrence Mulindwa is a member on the CAF Organising Committee of the U-20 African Championship.

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) congratulates the President and his team for the appointments.

The Ag. FUFA CEO Decolas Kiiza was  a happy man following the latest developments at CAF.

‘This is a welcome development for Ugandan football and I am confident the people appointed will not disappoint. I commend the CAF President Mr. Issa Hayatou and the CAF Executive Committee for respecting the FUFA Executive Committee nominations’

Kiiza added ‘This shows the confidence CAF has in the FUFA administration. We now have five members on various committees-a figure never attained before’

The new standing committees will serve for a period of two years (2015 – 2017)
