Uganda Cranes will not be involved in the first round qualification of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations campaign. However, according to the latest CAF communication following an Executive meeting held on 21st February, 2014 Uganda Cranes will not know their opponents until 20 days to the kick-off of the second round of qualification. The draw for the first round will see Mauritania play against Mauritius while Eritrea faces south Sudan. The winners over two legs in the first round will join 26 teams to engage in two legged fixtures (2nd round) with 14 teams advancing to the third round to be played over two legs as well. Third round will produce 7 qualifiers to be placed in the group stage which will bring the top 21 ranked teams as per CAF qualification process for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations that was released early this year.
The draw for the knock out stages (second round and Third round) and the group stage will be held on 27th April, 20144 in Cairo, Egypt.

First Leg: 11th, 12th, 13th April 2014: Mauritania vs Mauritius, Eritrea vs South Sudan
Second Leg: 18th, 19th, 20th April, 2014 Mauritius vs Mauritania, South Sudan vs Eritrea
Second round: Two qualified teams from first round +26 teams to play over two legs, with 14 teams progressing to third round
Dates: First leg 16, 17th, 18th May, 2014, second Leg: 30th, 31st May, 1st June, 2014
Third round: 14 qualified teams to play over two legs with 7 teams advancing to the group stage in Pot A.
