CECAFA KAGAME CUP 2015: KCC F.C Progress to Semi Finals, Face Azam F.C

CECAFA 2015 KAGAME CUP:

Al Ahly Shandy (Sudan) 0-3 KCC FC (Uganda)

Uganda’s flag bearers at the ongoing CECAFA Clubs championship (Kagame Cup) have qualified to the semi finals of the annual tourney at the expense of Al Ahly Shendi at the National Stadium in Dar es salaam on Wednesday under scorching Sunny conditions.

Joseph Ochaya, Tom Matisko and Muzamiru Mutyaba scored for the 1987 CECAFA clubs’ winners.

Left winger, Ochaya gave the Kasasiro lads the lead on 16 minutes for a 1-0 goal command by the half time break.

With 15 minutes to play, KCC won a penalty that skipper, Tom Matisko  won and before Muzamiru Mutyaba perfectly converted the resultant kick.

Masiko capped the icing on the cake with a third strike 13 minutes to full time.

Kampala City Council (KCC) F.C will now face Azam Football club in a repeat of the group stage fixture where the Tanzanian giants  won 1-0.

Azam F.C beat Yanga in the semifinals following a 5-4 post match penalty shoot out that followed a barren draw in normal time.

The semi final will be held on Friday, 31st July 2015.

Emmanuel Opio (GK), Denis Okot, Habib Kavuma, Hassan Wasswa (Farooque Matovu), Timothy Awany, Ivan Ntege, Hakim Senkumba (Owen Kasule), Tom Masiko (C), Muzamir Mutyaba, Isaac Sserunkuma (Shaban Kondo) and Joseph Ochaya.
