- Uganda Vs Kenya – Black Rhino Academy, Karatu (12 PM)
- Tanzania Vs South Sudan – Black Rhino Academy, Karatu (3:30 PM)
Uganda U-20 team (The Hippos) return to action on Monday, 30th November 2020 in the semi-finals of the 2020 CECAFA U-20 challenge Cup in Tanzania.
The Hippos take on Kenya at the Black Rhino Academy stadium in Karatu during the early kick off at noon of the double header.
At stake is a slot for the finals of the AFCON U-20 Championship that will be hosted by Mauritania next year.
Morley Byekwaso, Uganda U-20 head coach asserts that they are ready for the match and will give 100 percent in the match.
‘We are prepared to give 100 percent. Since the 6-1 win against Burundi, the players have had enough rest and focused for the semi-final clash. Kenya plays a physical game but we are ready to counter them’ Byekwaso disclosed.
Defending champions and hosts Tanzania will face South Sudan in the second game at 3:30 pm.
Uganda topped group B and face Kenya who were top of group C.
Tanzania were the group A leaders and take on South Sudan, who finished second behind Uganda in group B.
Uganda held their final training session at the Jafaary Academy in Arusha on Sunday morning before embarking on a 2 and half hour journey to Karatu, the venue of the match on Monday.
In Karatu, the team is accommodated at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge.
All the players for Uganda are fit with no injuries in the camp.
