Matchday two of the CECAFA U15 Boys Championship 2023 saw Djibouti get a second consecutive loss and hosts ease past stubborn South Sudan.
During the first match between Djibouti and Ethiopia, goals from Yihun Gebremariam, Muetesimbillah Walelign and Mesfin Basa saw the visiting side go three up against the home side in the first half.
At full-time, the scoreline read 1-8 in favour of Ethiopia. Oda Kedir, Natnael Lerango, Alex Daro, and Mesfin Basa saw the back of the net for the visiting side.
The consolation goal for Djibouti was scored by Abdi-Sadik Ali in the 61st minute.
The second match of the day saw the Uganda Rhinos face South Sudan in a match that ended 3-0 in favour of the hosts.
The neighbours from the North proved hard to crack in the first half as the scoreline read 0-0.
Frank Ssekanjako, Enock Bagenda and Abdulshakur Babi scored in the second half to give Uganda U15 a second consecutive win.
