Uganda has been handed a draw that will see Cranes take on Tanzania in the preliminary round of the Orange African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2016 in Rwanda.
CAF has handed the Central east Zone three slots including the hosts Rwanda that has seven countries. There are six zones in total.
Tanzania will play host to Uganda Cranes on the weekend of 19th-21st June with the return leg slated for 3rd-5th July.
Burundi, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Sudan and Tanzania are the teams in the central East Zone.

The draw was conducted on Sunday in Cairo and according to the zonal representation of the National associations affiliated to continental football body-CAF.
CAF General Secretary, Hicham El Amrani coducted the draw and was assisted by CAF 2nd Vice President, Almamy Kabele Camara, also president of Organizing Committee of the African Nations Championship (CHAN).
FUFA president Eng. Moses Magogo attended the draw and will be part of the CAF congress.

Dates for Matches:
The first matches will be played on the weekend of 21st June 2015 .
The return matches will come on weekend of 5th July 2015.
Uganda travels for the first match away in Dar es Salam before the return leg in Kampala a fort night later.
Rwanda will host the 2016 CHAN.
