Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Sredojevic has named provisional squad of 44 players to start training on Wednesday 24th May ahead of the forthcoming international fixtures for the local based players to feature in the Nations for African Championship (CHAN).
Training starts 9am on Wednesday at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.
Hassan Wasswa Mawanda has also been included in the team for training purposes as the 2019 Nations Cup qualifier against Cape Verde is around the corner.
South Sudan will host the first leg tie on 14th July, 2017 with the return leg a week later in Kampala.
The aggregate winner will face either Rwanda or Tanzania for a ticket to the 2018 Total CHAN finals in Kenya.
Uganda has played at three different CHAN final tournaments since 2011 only missing out in the 2009 edition. The Cranes played in Sudan (2011), South Africa (2014) and Rwanda (2016).
