Uganda Cranes of local-based players playing in the FUFA competitions intensified training in preparation for the CHAN clash against Somalia on 27th July in Djibouti (1st leg) and 3rd August (2nd leg) in Kampala.
The team conducted double training sessions on Tuesday at the StarTimes Stadium Lugogo under the guidance of interim coach Abdallah Mubiru assisted by Livingstone Mbabazi.
23 players took part in the training that involved ball work and endurance as they also prepared for the Regional tour of Kitara this Saturday in Hoima at Boma Ground.
‘We are trying to work on the fitness and ball work before playing our first leg. All players are giving their and very focused.
My target is to bring the best out of them’ said interim coach Mubiru
The team will conduct another double training session on Wednesday and Thursday before traveling to Hoima on Friday morning.
‘We want to qualify for the final tournament in Cameroon. Our motivation is high and ready to give out 100%.’ said Uganda Cranes midfielder Tadeo Lwanga
