The FUFA 1st Vice President and FIFA Instructor Justus Mugisha officially closed the five day Football and Management course which has been ongoing at FUFA House, Mengo.
Thirty three participants registered for the course with thirty two receiving certificates and confirmed as practicing CEO’s in Uganda and
the whole of Africa.
Mugisha remarked that the courses are part of the initiative to transform the game of football in the country.
“The FUFA President Eng Moses Magogo started the initiative of transforming the game of football and this can be done through courses like this CEO’s Course” said Mugisha.
He added by asking participants to act as ambassadors and corporate with those who haven’t yet attended the course by enticing them to attend the courses and also appreciate the value of the course because it has been costly for the federation, clubs and the participants themselves.
CAF Instructor Mpiima who represented the facilitators requested the CEO’s to put into practice what they have learnt rather than bragging that they attended the CEO’s course.
“I call upon you to put into practice what you have learnt because it is very dangerous to sit on the knowledge you have acquired” Said Mpiima.
Josephine Namukisa the acting KCCA FC CEO was the only woman participant.
She admitted that it has been such a great opportunity for her and the fellow participants to acquire knowledge which will help them transform the game of football in Uganda.
Among the facilitators were FUFA President and CAF Instructor Moses Magogo, 1st VP Justus Mugisha , Sam Mpiima, CEO Edgar Watson, Chairman UFRA Ronnie Kalema , Finance Director Decolas Kiiza, Communications Manager Ahmed Hussein, Competitions Manager Ali Mwebe and Marketing Director Esther Musoke.
