The first ever club football symposium in Uganda has commenced at the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Technical Center in Njeru on Saturday, 19th March 2016.
A follow up programme for one of the main pillars of football development world-over (club football), this is an initiative by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) following the first ever football symposium that was organized at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala in January 2015.
In attendance at the club symposium are the respective top flight Azam Uganda Premier league Chairmen, Chief Executive Officers (CEO) and coaches.
Deliberations at the symposium are in line with FUFA’s agenda of developing the game to the expected quality standards.
Discussions have varied right from the playing staff, administrators, facilities, fans, coaches, marketers among others.
Important areas of consideration at the Symposium are; club structures, finance (expenditure and generation), Competitions, Rules and regulations, Player development and management, Human Resource, Facilities and Equipment, Marketing, Fans’ development, Communications and event management among others.
The Symposium will climax on Sunday, 20th March 2016 with the formulation of the ‘Njeru Code’ upon which club football in Uganda will be run in the country for the next ten years.
