CLUB LICENSING REGULATIONS: FUFA CEO Officially Notifies Lweza F.C

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Edgar Watson has officially communicated to Lweza Football Club concerning their current status of being relegated like it had earlier been communicated at the FUFA weekly press conference on Wednesday.

The CEO’s letter is dated 5th August 2015, addressed to the Lweza Chief Executive Officer;

It reads;

I write with regret to inform you that your club in reference has not fulfilled licensing requirements 2015/16. Kindly refere to circular no, 1020 dated 24th June 2015 (FUFA/C/006/15); July 14th 2015 (FCC/Registration/13/07/2015), July 30th 2015 (Circular No. 1027) and July 30th 2015 (FUFA/Licensing/30/07/15). According to the FUFA Licensing Committee, your club did not provide the requirements in order to grant you the 2015/16 license”

Lweza Football Club missed out on the following;

– Administration (CEO and Coach service contracts)

– Finance (Budget for the season, Bank Statement and source of funds for 2015/16 season)

– Sporting (U-17 Youth team and a list of senior players with allocated shirt numbers)

– Infrastructure (Stadium proof of ownership or lease/control, Identity proof and address of the club and History, Samples of full Home and away playing kits).

The CEO’s letter continues;

According to the FUFA licensing Regulations, the consequence of this is for your club to be relegated to the FUFA Big league where a similar process shall be undertaken but with different (milder) parameters. However, you have been granted a grace period of up to Friday, 7th August 2015 to appeal in case there is need before close of business at 5 p.m. Please observe the requirements for lodging in an appeal in line with the FUFA statues.
