Azam Uganda Premier League Kick-off: 21st August 2015
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations has strongly warned the Azam Uganda Premier League clubs that have not yet fulfilled the requirements of the club licensing process.
The chairperson of the FUFA Club licensing committee, Dr Patrick Benard Ogwel passed over the warning to the clubs that are yet to submit all the required documents.
He stated;
There are only four clubs that have fully fulfilled the requirements. These are BUL, Soana, Police and The Saints F.C. We have given temporary club registration licenses to only 5 clubs (SC Villa, KCC, Simba, Vipers and Bright Stars) upto the end of the mid season. Maroons, Express, Jinja Municipal Council, Sadolin Paints, SCVU and URA have been given upto Monday, 10th August 2015 to sort out themselves. For Lweza football club, its relegated and can only appeal the decision with two days effective Wednesday, 5th August 2015.
The Clubs are required to fulfill to satisfaction of the following requirements;
1-Finances
-Realizable Budget, Naming of the club certified Public Auditors, Books of accounts for the previous seasons, Use of a bank account, Financial Accounting Policy and the ratio of football club income to expenditure, Sources of Income for the club.
2- Administration and Personnel
– Technical Director of the club, Head of Finances, Club’s Administrative Secretary (CEO) with a FUFA FAMACO Administration certificate, Marketing Director, Public Relations Officer, Human Resource Policy (clearly showing how staff is recruited and remunerated), Fans Data Base (Registry), Fans Development Policy, Merchandise and Memorabilia pictures, Fans List, List of officials, Training Manuel of Staff
3 – Infrastructure
– Clubs’ Stadia for training and hosting games with all the expected amenities – electricity, medical wing, car parking, spectator access with well known entry and exit route, certificate of ownership of facility or contract of hiring the premises
4 – Legal:
– Separation of Powers of all the club staff.
5 – Sporting:
– Valid contracts of staff, players and coaches, List of Senior players with the official shirt numbers, Possession of the U-17 team
