Uganda U17 Women’s National Team Head Coach Sheryl Botes is optimistic her charges are in the right shape ahead of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.
The gaffer believes the team is in the right shape to face Cameroon in the first leg of the first round of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.
The first leg is slated is slated for Saturday, 3rd February 2024 at St. Mary’s Kitende while the return leg will be played a week later in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
“We still got two days left and we have worked on the process of play to make sure the girls understand how exactly how they have to play.” She said.
“I believe we have a good team to get a good result against Cameroon. The players have responded positively to training and I think we shall be good to go on Saturday.” Botes added.
It should be noted that this is the second time that the Teen Cranes are taking part in the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.
Last year, the team played and got eliminated by Ethiopia at the first round.
